Late night!

Well today is my last night, to get things ready for the wedding weekend. I ended up making some really cute lanterns out of Mason Jars and some copper wire. We are using them for the bridesmaids to carry instead of the traditional flowers, every bride uses. I will have pictures up of the finished project after the wedding weekend. Since the wedding is in the STICKS, we won't have any computer service. So I won't be able to blog or update anything until we get back Sunday night or Monday morning, depending on how the kids do. We are making some signs for the lodge and for placement of her cupcakes also tomorrow night. I am so excited to see how everything turns out and to show you all. The kids and the rest of the family is very excited. So off to get some sleep before our crazy day begins tomorrow. Gotta love road trips with 2 small kids..:)
Thanks,
T

Something I made today!

First of all who doesn't want to be organized? Also who doesn't have a ton of those BIG serving spoons laying around, in a drawer taking up space. Maybe even potatoes, or fruit in a big bowl or basket on the counter. Why not change it up a little. I Always like to do something funky, and I thought why not add a little chalk board paint on it and label what is inside. FUN! So this is what I came up with today.
Thanks,

I also had a coat rack that used to say LOVE across the top...I just never felt right about it! So I changed it up a little. I used some tape, measuring tape, and paint tape. I marked off squares and spray painted on chalk board paint. Then I let it dry, for several hours. Then once it was perfect I took a piece of chalk, and covered each square completely. Wiped it off, and then I was able to designate each hook to each member of our family. Just another way I can keep my family organized! :)
Enjoy,
T

Barn windows

I got some awesome barn windows from a friend. They weren't doing anything with them, and I originally got them, for a photo project I was doing. Once I saw how big they were I figured I would clean them up a bit and add some stencil and it would be perfect! I ended up hanging one above my mantel in my living room. The other one had a broken window pain on the bottom. So I chose to leave it as is. I left it leaned up against my front part of my house. (under the porch of course) I have a old baby rocker next to it. I get so many complements from it. Funny because I didn't do anything! That just shows you, the simple things is what makes a house a home!

My wedding February 26th, 2010

I thought I would share some pictures with you, of our BIG day! This Lodge was totally empty when we arrived. I brought everything from Portland and drove it with truck and trailer to Yelm, Washington. Not a easy task, shout out to my husband and family on that one. :)Hope you enjoy!

We used a local friend for our photo's! Brindilynnphotography http://brindilynphoto.blogspot.com

Diaper cakes

I LOVE making diaper cakes, instead of the same old baby shower gifts. The recipient can use them for decoration at the shower, along with in the nursery. That is until they need the diapers! I just recently had several friends that had babies back to back. This cake was my first cake I had ever made. It was so fun! Just wanted to share it with you, this was for a little boy. EVAN!

Starting my company

Well after long thought about what I wanted to do, I have decided on starting my own company. I will be doing lots of different things on this blog. Most of which will be about my children Cooper 2, and Maddee 1. I started a Etsy account also, and figured I better start a blog. Who doesn't have a blog these days!?!

I will be selling Rustic unique wedding decorations. From Moss Monograms, wood signs, chalk boards, flower girl headbands, and much more. My wedding in February 2010 really got my head going, on this company. I was planning and creating all these new things. To some people may be a pain and really hard to do. I think with someone showing you how easy it really can be. Makes it believable to some! I come from a very crafty family, so I guess you can say I have a vision for things, like this. :) Well I hope you like my blog, and I will post my pictures of the moss monogram I can do for you, or a friend for a special day.
